StaySafe™ Medical Clothing offers two types of gloves, Examination Gloves and Surgical Gloves, which are distinct and made with different uses in mind. Examination gloves are typically less fitted and are better suited for low risk situations, such as routine check-ups and other medical examination excluding surgical procedures. Surgical gloves on the other hand are specifically designed to be more durable and have a tighter fit for extended wear and accurate handling of instruments during high risk operations.
Examination gloves are designed to be ambidextrous, which means that each glove can be used for both hands, so medical professionals don’t have to spend time searching for a pair of gloves; the first two will always do. Their design also reduces hand fatigue. They offer less protection than surgical gloves, but are still effective at preventing the exchange of bacteria and other contaminants between medical professionals and patients in low-risk situations. StaySafe™ examination gloves come in sterile and non-sterile, in a variety of sizes ranging from XS to L, and several materials to suit all needs and preferences. Finally, they are not limited to the medical profession, and can be used to handle food or in labs or other industries where there is a low to medium risk of contamination.
The function of surgical gloves is similar to that of examination gloves, however they are intended to be used during a surgical procedure. They are made to a higher standard which offers a higher level of protection, making them ideal for high risk situations. They are often made more precisely and offer higher sensitivity, allowing maximum usage of hands and minimal hindrance during surgery.

StaySafe™ gloves come in 3 materials, these are:
Latex: Latex is typically the standard material for examination gloves and the most commonly used glove around the world, proving ideal for non-invasive physical examinations and handling wounds. Latex is very cost effective and offers the wearer a close fit, which allows for high sensitivity and the highest level of elasticity. They also have a high puncture and chemical resistance that allows them to also be used in high-risk situations such as handling dangerous chemicals or surgery.
Nitrile: This is an alternative to latex for those with latex allergies, but with similar properties and a higher resistance to chemicals and punctures.
Vinyl: This is a second alternative to latex, which has a soft feel as well as anti-static properties. However, it offers the wearer the lowest level of elasticity and so less protection than either latex or nitrile. Vinyl gloves puncture fairly easily so as a result vinyl is only used to manufacture examination gloves. They are ideal for tasks such as transporting patients and non-invasive exams, and are the most cost effective option. StaySafe™ examination gloves also come in stretch vinyl, which has similar properties to regular vinyl gloves, but come with increased elasticity. These are only recommended for use in low-risk environments.
